It was never my intention to become an author, or a TEDx Speaker, but once I realised I had a strategy that could help people, it all fell into place.  Starting with my first book Brain Unchained, I chose to focus first on emotional awareness for teenagers, and parenting teens.  

I had used mindfulness and self help books for my own wellbeing, and to try and help my son, so these beautiful photo books and notebooks followed next.

Finally, I had the amazing idea to extend my work as an Emotional Awareness Expert, into a fun relationship book.

The Book Bug Bit Me!

The book bug bit me! I never had the intention of becoming an author.  It hadn't been a life-long dream.  The concept of becoming an Emotional Awarness Expert was more of a late discovery in my parenting role.  Once the inspiration hit me, it changed everything.  When I realised I had knowledge and experience that no one else was sharing, it still took 5 years to write my first book, in 2020.  Now in 2025 I have four books, 3 journal, and 12 notebooks published, with more books waiting to be written.  I also run the Self Help Bookshelf supporting other self-help authors. 

Mission Statement

With the power of BEING HUMAN - My mission is to create a top-down culture for learning Emotional Awareness at a foundational level.  This will be achieved through home, education, work, and charities or therapy rooms. 

Through my books, courses, mentoring and training, I will support adults, teachers, managers leaders, to teach teens and young adults how to thrive in today's complex world, through emotional learning.

With many neurodivergent individuals being VISUAL learners, my strategy is fully inclusive of ASD, ADD, ADHD, Non-Verbal, and more.  Everyone deserves to feel in control of their own emotions.
